Hostaway is seeking a highly motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team, reporting into our Financial Controller and drive our growth in the market.

About the role

  • Expense Processing & Compliance, including daily review of incoming invoices, setting up supplier payments in Payhawk, and overseeing the purchase order system

  • Troubleshoot and resolve synchronisation issues between our core financial and HR systems (Payhawk, NetSuite, Bamboo). Ensure new employees are correctly set up and allocated within all finance systems.

  • Maintain the integrity of financial data by managing supplier information and ensuring correct tax code application in the AP sub-ledger for proper indirect tax treatment.

  • Proactively monitor and manage cash flow by ensuring all company cards and Payhawk bank accounts are sufficiently funded for monthly operations.

  • Coordinate payment run schedules and prepare payment batches for final approval, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.

Job requirements

  • Previous experience in accounts payable role.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Experience with modern AP systems such as Payhawk, Spendesk, Ramp, Soldo, Pleo, Divvy and experience with ERP systems such NetSuite, Workday, SAP or Sage (we use Netsuite and Payhawk so others aren’t a deal breaker) 

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Exposure to and/or a passion in AI for efficiency.
