About the role

We’re looking for a senior GEO/SEO expert to own how Hostaway is discovered across traditional search and AI-powered (LLM) experiences.

This is a senior individual contributor role with broad ownership across GEO (AEO), SEO, including measurement, experimentation, and cross-functional execution. You’ll help us understand how AI is changing the buyer journey and build the strategy, systems, and programs that improve our visibility, authority, and business impact.

Your mission

• Drive Organic Demand:  Own the global GEO and SEO strategy, roadmap, and performance to increase revenue from organic demand.

• Use analytics to improve:  Build dashboards, reporting, playbooks, and processes that connect AI and search performance to engagement, pipeline, and revenue. 

• Create targeted campaigns:  Partner with Content and Product Marketing to create targeted campaigns addressing the unique needs Hostaway buyers have across different geos.

• Win in AI LLM discoverability:  Create programs that ensure Hostaway is visible, cited and recommended across the topics, prompts, queries, and buyer questions from top to bottom of the sales funnel

• Broaden distribution:  Identify the third-party sources, publications, communities, and platforms that influence how AI systems understand and recommend our brand and work with the team to secure content placements.

• Improve technical performance : Own technical SEO and AI discoverability, including structured data, entity optimization, crawlability, indexation, internal linking, and site architecture.

• Run experiments:  Use test and learn mentality to determine what improves AI visibility and organic performance, and turn findings into repeatable best practices.

• Own and evolve the GEO/SEO technology stack: Actively monitor the landscape to understand what the emerging technologies are, test and learn from them, and make recommendations for implementation.

• Deep GEO/SEO expertise: You have 5+ years of experience in GEO/SEO, organic growth, search strategy, or a related discipline, with hands-on expertise across technical optimization, content strategy, structured data, entity optimization, and measurement.

• AI search fluency: You deeply understand how AI is changing buyer discovery, research, and evaluation, and how brands need to adapt across traditional and generative search.

• Modern measurement mindset: You know how to measure AI mentions, citations, share of voice, prompt performance, competitive visibility, and downstream business outcomes.

• Strong command of the toolset: You have experience with platforms such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Peec, Conductor, Google Search Console, GA4, or similar tools used to monitor and improve search and AI visibility.

• Analytical and experimental: You use data to identify opportunities, form hypotheses, run experiments, and continuously improve performance.

• AI-native: You use AI regularly to accelerate research, analysis, optimization, experimentation, and execution, and you stay current as the AI landscape evolves.

• High-leverage collaborator: You partner closely with Content, Product Marketing, Web, Demand Generation, Communications, and Analytics to turn GEO/SEO insights into coordinated action across the buyer journey.

• Able to navigate ambiguity: You are comfortable operating in a fast-evolving discipline where best practices are still being defined. You can separate meaningful signals from hype, prioritize the highest-impact opportunities, and build a clear path forward with incomplete information.
